The F-150 is Ford’s full-size truck that has been preferred for its style and capabilities for decades. Now that you are ready to upgrade to your next F-150, you need to decide which of the 2020 model year’s trims is a good match for you. The XLT and the Lariat are mid-level trims that sit next to each other in the lineup. However, their base MSRP and many of their standard features differ dramatically.

Performance

The standard engine in the 2020 Ford F-150 XLT is a Ti-VCT V6, a 3.3-liter engine with a 10-speed electronic transmission. This engine produces 290 horsepower. Both of these Ford F-150 trim levels are available with several of the same alternative engines. Some of these are the 3.0-liter Power Stroke, V6 turbo-diesel engine, and the Ti-VCT V8, 5.0-liter engine.

Appearance

The 2020 Ford F-150 has a commanding presence with toned surfaces from end to end. The XLT and the Lariat both have a chrome-accented bumper with a horizontal bar theme across the grille. One of their subtle differences throughout the exterior is in their wheels. Both of these trims are available with several wheel options that are between 18 and 20 inches. Both trim levels have daytime running lights, a 170-degree rear door, a power-locking tailgate, and other equipment.
